I adore the grain and the blur (once kinescopé) that this format brings to us and emotions which it can get to us. The precision often kills the cinema, or, at the very least, art in the cinema, solidifying in the same obsolete stereotypes the image, the account and the play. I wanted a camera very close to the actresses, as if it were there to steal something of very close friend to them... and yet "flight" there was not, but "gift of oneself", yes!... I realized that my work always put the women in foreground. With this film, I became aware that it is well my signature and I wanted to entrust to the men only second roles. The most beautiful compliment? Two: "It would not be thought that this film is made by a man" and "what is shocking, in this film, it is that it did not shock me"... In this film, two things interested me: The realization of this history in love in report/ratio with Sand and freshness with my actresses, because I intended to speak more of the disorder and the discovery in love, that of a homosexual history, by conceiving the love like a right of all the beings, without ghetto of membership. To its talents of instrumentalist come to be added from now on those of leader, of musicologist, organizer of theatre and overall vocal. It is invited in France and in the whole world by the large houses of opera or the considered symphony orchestras, to direct not only works of XVIlème and XVIIIème centuries but also Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Wagner, Stravinsky... In 1981, Jean-Claude Malgoire takes the direction of the Lyric Workshop of Tourcoing, well defined to widen the traditional lyric repertory. The productions follow one another Montezuma, the pasticcio elaborate by Jean-Claude Malgoire on musics of Vivaldi, remains the event of the year 1992, crowned by the Victoire of the Music for her recording with the disc. Vespers for the Nativity of the Virgin of Vivaldi and Orfeo de Gluck presented at the Festival of Aix appear among the important concerts of 1994, they were the subject of very noticed recordings to the disc. In 1996 it engages a new bet: the Mozart/Da Trilogy Big shot (Nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, Così fan tutte), with the Lyric Workshop of Tourcoing, in a setting in single scene of Pierre Constant, rewarded by the price for criticism. Year 1996 opened with Falstaff de Salieri, will follow Orfeo de Gluck to Barcelona and Nice, and the resumption of the Trilogy Mozart/Da Ponte to the Theatre of the Fields-élysées and in round. The recording of this version of the three operas of Mozart has just appeared out of box CD at Astrée Auvidis. The Large Stable and the Room of Roy Founded in 1966, by Jean-Claude Malgoire, this instrumental unit falls under a tradition which goes up in François ler. The Large Stable joined together "those which make large noise" (trumpets and drums) whereas, Chambre of Roy gathered "those soft with ouyr" (oboe and violins). Attache initially with the repertory of instrumental works of XVIIe and XVIIIe centuries, the orchestra approaches, since 1974, the opera with Lully, Rameau then Haendel, Charpentier, Monteverdi. Its 25th birthday is marked by both Alceste, of Lully and Gluck, with the Theatre of the Fields-Elysées, the motets of Campra to the Royal Vault of Versailles, Admeto de Haendel with the Comic Opera. Since its creation, the unit gave more than 1.500 concerts in the whole world, with its credit also of many discs (nearly 100), of which several are first recordings (Rinaldo de Haendel, Alceste de Lully or Solemn Vespers of M.A.Charpentier...). Claude Malgoire taken again into 96-97 with the Theatre of the Élysées Fields and in round. Formation Northern Regional Chorus - Pas-de-Calais Musics Field After some probatory experiments in 1979 and 1980, in particular with the National Orchestra of Lille, Pierre Host creates the Regional Chorus in December 1981. Jean Bacquet ensures some the artistic direction since then and gives the great partitions of the repertory: Passion according to Jean Saint, Passion according to Matthieu Saint and Magnificat of Bach, the Messiah of Haendel, the Requiem of Mozart, the Requiem of Fauré and Gloria de Poulenc. It is still necessary to quote oratorios and masses of Marc-Antoine Charpentier, operas of Branch and Mozart, the Clemence of Titus, Così, fan tutte, the Weddings of Barber, Don Juan, without omitting contemporary works of Maurice Ohana and Luis of Pablo, for example. Eclair north 23 Mars 1997 Passion has abundance... JESUS, Marie, Joseph!... By all the saints of the paradise, what a beautiful Passion! A Passion dense, intense, with the eloquent music. One had made it clear to us that "the Jean Saint" by the Large Stable would be the nail of these Weeks Choral societies. The word was not too strong: the public literally was nailed emotion by this palpitating work like a heart. Nailed like a butterfly in the window of a collector of lépidoptères.. Those to which one does not do it any more, blasés which know the partition on the end of the nails, which are capable of fredonner in their bathroom, each récitatifs of the Evangelist or the aria "are STI volbracht", as commotionnés as the others, were at the edge of the tears. Emotion that can make so well divide, to each one of their go with the large type-setters, Jean-Claude Malgoire and his musicians. The setting in scene of Mario Féroce is one cannot more sober, at the point to even appear austere about it. It is erased in front of the Mystery, behind the torment and the resurrection of the Man. Humbly, Mario Féroce agreed to let himself carry by the subject, conceiving each one of her pictures painted with the way of the Masters of the Venetian cinquecento, like an illustration and not like a demonstration of crowned, like a picturesque reading of the music. An illustration so precise that one also forgets of it that the entry of Our-injury Angels, deprived of clotheshangers lends itself badly to the thousand and one theatrical subtleties and contingencies. Same humility in the soloists. And yet, this Passion BWV245 will have gathered around the cross an incomparable skewer of talents: Serge Goubioud (the Evangelist), Patrick Ringal Daxhelet (Christ), Jean-Louis Georgel (Holy Pierre), Philippe Rock (Pontius Pilate), Simon Edwards (at the same time angel and Judas), Patrizia Rozario, (Marie-madeleine), Nora Gubish (the Virgin Mary). All seemed to us to adopt with regard to passion, a reserve close to the veneration. Principal actor of this spectacle-miracle, the Regional Chorus Nord/Pas-de-Calais Area subdivided like a Trinity in three sets: that of the pharisees, that of the disciples and, nested close to the organ, that of the witnesses. Bringing each one on their side to this interpretation-illustration all necessary liveliness and all ardour. One strong moment. As if this Passion were at the borders of inexpressible, just with the line of demarcation where time like the stork, suspends its step and gives the impression to become a piece of eternity. The public if it had not been without voice would undoubtedly have entonné a "Magnificat"... . Good Friday April 7, 1724, in the church Nicolas Saint of Leipzig. "Jesus
knew all now that was going to arrive to him" While composing of
passions for the Holy Week, Bach, did nothing but obey a tradition which
went up in XIIe century. There were initially psalmodiées passions,
then passed-motets. Finally the motet is transformed into cantata. With
Bach, all the range of the human feelings finds its place in passion,
nothing rigid in the construction industry work where all is left with
the liking of the type-setter. This one trust some the booklet and passion
becomes a kind of crowned opera. Work follows the account of the holy
evangelist Jean (18, 1940 and 19, 1942) but Bach adds two passages of
Matthieu Saint to it in particular the account of the earthquake. The
cantor also includes in the booklet of the poems drawn from a passion
from Brockes (1680-1747) and texts of another from Postel (1658-1706)
as well as poems from Weise (1642-1708). In the composition of its work,
Bach gave a relief very particular to the choruses of crowd (turba)
is delirious about it, to its cries and its vociferations, a crowd where
mix the people, the soldiers, the henchmen, the servants and the ecclesiastical
dignitaries of high row. Dramatic impetuosity, "verism", the
vehemence of engagement characterize Passion according to Jean Saint.
